Cleaners Help Cancer Patients
The House Cleaning Professionals
in Morgantown, has announced their partnership and membership
with Cleaning For A Reason, a national non-profit charitable
Foundation that provides free and discounted housecleaning
services to women undergoing cancer treatment.
“My mother had cancer in 2006 and
I know the effects that cancer had on her body. I joined this
organization because I wanted to make a difference in women’s
lives, said Jennifer Keen, owner of House Cleaning
Professionals. “Housecleaning falls through the cracks – you’re
fighting for your life and your normal priorities have been
completely reordered. I’m happy to help make women’s lives a
little more normal, more comfortable while they’re fighting the
fight. We could all use a helping hand at times, but imagine
going through cancer treatment while still trying to juggle
family and life responsibilities.” said Jennifer Keen.
Debbie Sardone, who is the CEO
of Buckets & Bows Maid Service in Texas, founded Cleaning For A
Reason in 2006. In less than 12 months she has recruited over
200 companies nation wide to serve as local Chapters in over 24
U.S. States. Requests for services are made through their
website, www.cleaningforareason.org
and Call Center. Once cancer patients have been verified
through their physician, they are matched with local Cleaning
For A Reason Chapters who will do the actual housecleaning. The
parameters of each cleaning are set by the individual cleaning
companies. Typically they provide 4 free monthly cleanings.
Families and friends of cancer patients can also donate funds
towards additional cleanings on the foundation’s website.
“We’re all touched by cancer.
What we do for a living can make a difference in the lives of
women who are suffering with this disease. We are proud of the
services we offer and proud to be able to help those in need.
Reaching out to the community has always been a core value for
our business.” Said, Keen.
The House Cleaning Professionals
has been providing residential and commercial housecleaning
services in Berks and Chester counties since 2003.

of anyone who may benefit from this service, direct them to:

Spring Cleaning Tips To Help Reduce Allergies
Morgantown, PA-- Ah, spring! As the snow begins to melt, the
grass begins to green, the flowers begin to bud, and the
sunlight lasts a little longer each evening. It’s the return of
songbirds, baseball in the park, and driving with your windows
down. When it comes time for “Spring Cleaning,” the first
thought for most people is to open all the windows and let the
house air out. Unfortunately, people who suffer from seasonal
allergies are not able to enjoy this luxury. Opening windows
brings in outside allergens such as pollen from trees, grasses
and weeds.
The allergen’s inside the house—dust mites, animal dander and
mold should be addressed on a weekly basis but seldom are; Hence
spring-cleaning is mandatory for the allergic person. Children
also suffer from these allergies too.
So, what exactly is spring-cleaning? Jennifer Keen, president of
the House Cleaning Professionals states, “It is going through
the house thoroughly cleaning everything and sorting out
cabinets, drawers, and closets. It means starting at the ceiling
and working your way down to cleaning the baseboards and floor.”
Why go to such extreme measures? The population of indoor
allergens will be reduced which will make your living
environment less harmful. Tackling allergens is quite simple but
not necessarily easy.
The House Cleaning Professionals offers these
helpful spring-cleaning tips to help reduce household allergens:
It might seem overwhelming to thoroughly
clean your house in a day, so dedicate one day to cleaning a
room.
A long extension duster will knock down cobwebs that have
nested on your ceiling and walls in your warm house over the
winter months.
Wet wipe ceiling fans with a water and vinegar mixture.
Wipe all wood doors down with Murphy’s soap oil and a rag.
Don’t forget baseboards. Wipe baseboards with a damp cloth.
Shine your picture frames and glass with Windex.
Move couches and end tables and vacuum underneath furniture as
dust bunnies often settle in these places.
Clean window frames, sills, and sashes with wet cloth and
Murphy’s soap oil. It is a good idea to clean your windows once
a year with Windex and a squeegee.
Vacuum the heater intake and outtake vents in each room.
Wash or dry-clean window curtains.
Clean light fixtures in bathrooms with vinegar water mixture.
Wipe all furniture down on the tops, the sides, and
underneath.
TV’s create static and draw dust to the glass, so be sure to
wipe down the front of the TV, the top, and behind.
To remove mold in the shower, use bleach and water mixture.
Spray on and let it set for 5 minutes then proceed to scrub the
shower with a sponge. Always refer to your manufacture’s
cleaning procedures prior to using bleach.
Trash cans often get dirty. Spray Clorox Cleanup on trashcans
and wipe clean with paper towel. This will also disinfect your
trashcans.
Clean out the air exhaust pipe from your dryer with a shop vac.
This is also a good fire preventative.
Hire professional services to shampoo the carpets, clean out
central air conditioning ducts, chimney’s and a residential
cleaning service for routine house cleaning service.
Clean the coils to your refrigerator by vacuuming them with a
crevice tool to your vacuum. This will also help maintain the
lifespan of your refrigerator.
Since each home is unique and construction materials may
vary, refer to manufactures instructions and recommendations
prior to cleaning.
House cleaning on a regular basis decreases your home’s dust
levels. A clean home maintains the value of your home and is a
good standard for healthy living. If you don’t have time for
spring-cleaning, you can call the House Cleaning Professionals
at 610-913-1120. The House Cleaning Professionals offers weekly,
biweekly, and monthly service plans to meet your needs.

Many people are seeking professional house
cleaners
In preparation for the Holidays
Wouldn’t it be nice to come home to a clean
house? Envision the beds being made, the floors treated, and
those hard to reach spots behind the toilet being scrubbed? Many
people are resorting to professional house cleaners to take care
of their interior needs in preparation for the Holidays.
Over 50% of the nation’s dual-income families have house
cleaners on a regular basis. That added help goes a long way.
It’s just one less thing for people to worry about when
preparing for dinner and guests. It can be somewhat
overwhelming, and sometimes stressful to prepare for the
Holidays when our lives are becoming increasingly busier. Do you
feel that you are juggling between doing the laundry, shopping,
running errands, cooking, and spending time with your children
and family? Well, you’re not alone. Many of us rank a clean home
as important, yet it is one of the last things on our “to do”
list. Many surveys verify that people give cleaning a low
priority in the use of their free time. There is simply not
enough time in the day for house cleaning, especially when our
lives are so busy.
So, as you try to balance your busy lives and get more out of
your leisure time, hiring someone to help is becoming more
common. Having a “maid” isn’t a luxury anymore but more of a
necessity. House cleaning on a regular basis maintains the value
of your home and is a good standard for healthy living.
Tips for selecting a
good house cleaner:
1) Make sure the cleaners are insured. It is very important
to protect your personal property. The best intentions can still
lead to damage of your belongings.
2) Don’t be hesitant in asking for references. A good cleaner
will have references on hand and be willing to relinquish them
upon request.
3) Look for presentation of themselves and their business
professionally in appearance and mannerism. Personal appearance
and organization can be key indicators as to how detailed,
meticulous, and reliable your cleaner will be.
4) Inquire about contracts. Some businesses bind you to
different terms. Signing a contract before services are rendered
may bind you to a cleaner that does not meet your expectations.
Sometimes there is even a fee to break the contract prior to its
maturity date.
Before the cleaners
arrive – get yourself organized
Most cleaning services do
not sort your personal belongings, put away clothes, iron or
clean your dishes. In order to maximize the effectiveness of
your hired cleaner, you should prepare for their arrival. The
arrival of the cleaner should be a relief to you, not another
stress. The professional can concentrate on their tasks if you
can find time to organize your home.
Arrange to have the cleaner come on a day of the week that is
convenient for you. If your household tends to get things picked
up on Sunday evenings, and the cleaner could come early in the
week, you would not have extra preparation to do. Or, if you
prefer to have the house cleaned for weekend guests, plan the
cleaning for the end of the week.
After having your house professionally cleaned, you can sit
back, relax, and enjoy your Holiday

House Cleaning Business
Opens in Morgantown
Morgantown-
Although many businesses have taken a beating in this down
economy, the residential cleaning business has remained
successful. The House Cleaning Professionals based in
Morgantown is starting their business with the philosophy of
providing outstanding service, catering to their client’s needs,
and offering reasonable prices. Jennifer Keen, owner, states,
“In today’s society there is a high demand for more people to
work full-time jobs. The residential cleaning industry is not
just a luxury anymore but a necessity.” Life is more hurried
and full of distractions than ever before. Many people feel
they just don’t have enough time in a day for housekeeping.
Oddly enough, many of us rank a clean home as very important,
yet it is one of the last things on our “to do” list. Numerous
surveys verify that people give cleaning a low priority in the
use of their free time. Who feels like cleaning on the weekends
when you work hard during the week? More people are investing
in a residential cleaning company so they could spend quality
time with their families rather than doing the work themselves.
Housecleaning on a regular basis maintains the value of your
home and is a good standard for healthy living.
The House Cleaning Professionals offers weekly, bi-weekly and
monthly service plans; move-in, move-out cleans, and apartment
cleans as well. They can also work with you to create a
tailored service to meet your monetary needs. The employees are
trained, fully insured and provide their own equipment and
supplies. For a free quote or employment opportunities you can
call their office at 610-913-1120.
